November Update: ASA-CF Wind Deflectors, Lower Prices, and What's on the Bench

Bastian de Byl - November 5, 2026

The V85 TT Wind Deflector is changing material again, this time to ASA-CF, and it’s getting cheaper while we’re at it. The last of the older PETG-CF stock is going out at lower prices to make room. There’s also a proper update on Thermolink for anyone with a Senville mini-split, and a word on some electronics work we’ve been doing for EV conversion shops.

Wind Deflectors Are Now ASA-CF

From November 5th, 2026, every Grade A wind deflector we make is printed in ASA-CF: acrylonitrile styrene acrylate with chopped carbon fibre.

The reason is simple: it gives us better, more consistent results. Over the last several batches, ASA-CF parts came off the printer closer to identical from one to the next than anything we’ve used before. For you, that means the pair in your box looks and fits the way the photos say it should, every time. ASA is also an outdoor-grade plastic built to take sun and weather, which is exactly where a wind deflector spends its life.

What hasn’t changed: the fit, the mounting points, the stainless hardware, the bushings and the height options are all the same. If you already run a set, a new one is a drop-in match.

Lower Prices, and the Last of the PETG-CF

The new material comes with a lower price on Grade A, and we’re clearing out the remaining PETG-CF stock in Grade B and Grade C:

Grade Material Was Now
A ASA-CF $39.98 $34.98
B PETG-CF $24.98 $19.98
C PETG-CF $9.98 $9.49

Grade B and C are the same parts we’ve shipped for the past year and a half, with the minor cosmetic marks described on the product page. They protect just as well as Grade A. Once they’re gone, they’re gone: we won’t be printing more PETG-CF.

Thermolink: Off the Bench, Onto the Board

We’ve mentioned Thermolink twice now: the smart controller for heat pump and mini-split systems. Last time there was nothing new to report. This time there is.

We now understand how the Senville wall thermostat talks to the indoor unit, and we’re working on the electronics and the software. The goal is a smart thermostat for Senville owners, built around modes rather than one fixed setpoint, so the system does what you’d do yourself at the right time of day.

We’re still not promising a date, but we hope to have something for Senville owners soon. If you have a Senville system and would like to hear first, get in touch.

Electronics for EV Conversion Shops

This isn’t something we’ve talked about much here. Alongside the motorcycle parts, we’ve been helping electric vehicle conversion shops with their own products.

It grew out of our work with Skudak on EV conversions, and it has turned into end-to-end projects: a custom circuit board from schematic to finished hardware, the firmware that runs on it, and a cross-platform app the shop uses to configure it. The latest one integrates with a vehicle’s own diagnostics.

We can’t say much more about the specific projects, but if you run a conversion shop, or you’ve got an electronics problem that sits between a vehicle and the software around it, our electrical and software services page is the place to start.
